    La Plagne week

    March 20, 2017 in France ⋅ ☀️ 9 °C

Today is my first day in La Plagne, nannying for 3 different families who are on holiday together. The weather is fantastic! It's bright and sunny, snow is everywhere, unlike where my colleague and I have just come from in Les Gets. The snow is disappearing quickly there, glad we were brought here for a week to work.Read more

    The accident

    February 3, 2017 in France ⋅ ☀️ 4 °C

So today was the first accident of the season and of course it happened to me. As I was enjoying a nice ski with Tom, Arron, Jess, Helen and Sam it had to go wrong! Going down a blue run in the bowl, not a particularly hard one, I fell (not wearing my gloves) and my friend Jess skiied over my index and middle finger. Ouch. I could almost see the bone, the good thing is I got the skidoo and the blood wagon down a red run! Woohoo!Read more

    Tignes, france

    January 24, 2017 in France ⋅ ☀️ -6 °C

Today I went skiing with Robin, we went on a very long run which should've only taken 20 minutes but with me practically snow plowing the whole way it took about an hour and a half! He was very patient with me though and by then end I was back into a parallel ski, just wished we had more time together. I am now off to Val d'Isere which is the next resort over, to start nannying with two 18 month old girls; wish me luck.Read more

    Val d'Isere week

    January 22, 2017 in France ⋅ ☀️ -6 °C

This week I am SUPER excited as I am being moved to Val d'Isere which is very close to Tignes- where my boyfriend of 3 years is currently working, he is doing a season too. My manager is going to send me over a few days early so I can go to Tignes and see him. I am slightly nervous as I haven't skiied in 5 years and am going out for the first time on the slope with him in Tignes!Read more

    Training week

    December 10, 2016 in France ⋅ ⛅ 1 °C

My season has started with a long journey to London, seeing my sister, and then a big trek through London to Gatwick where we will be meeting the other Portes du Soleil VIP Ski staff. The journey time on the coach with 40 future colleagues and friends, is 16 hours. Everyone is lovely, Becky has been really nice to me but she is unfortunately being placed 4 hours away in Meribel after training. I'm excited for what's to come. The scenery as we pass through France is beautiful.Read more
