Birch Bay is only 2 hours from our house in Everett, WA but it seems like a real vacation. Cody is at his favorite person's house and doesn't miss us and we are at the beach. Well, a WA beach.

Birch Bay was named after all the birch trees Captain Vancouver and crew saw. There aren't as many left today as temperatures have changed.

Today we explored the State Park! It was my first Real Trail in a park with Cindy since my knee replacement surgery.

The rest of the day was spent icing my knee and keeping it elevated so it doesn't swell. Tonight is dinner and a movie in our condo.Les mer

Another Beautiful Day

Another beautiful, sunny day in Birch Bay 🌞
I biked for 10 minutes to stretch out my knee before Cindy joined me in the swimming pool. We had the pool to ourselves for 30 minutes!

I walked a short trail around the pond near the condo and then did my first beach walk. It was fun to enjoy the sun and people-watch.

More icing, compressing and elevating my knee too. I can walk without my cane inside the condo but need it outside so I don't fall. I'm getting stronger every day!

It's been fun getting out of the house and seeing new things. Heading home tomorrow morning.Les mer
