Es gibt viele Fotos!
Warum die Inkas sich diesen Platz ausgesucht haben ist rätselhaft.
Mit unseren heutigen Möglichkeiten schon Grenzwertig.

Wir wohnen in Urabambo. Das ist eine Kleinstadt, eine Provinz und ein Fluss.
Ab hier bis zum Startpunkt gibt es nur noch einfache Hotels.
Unsere Tour:
9:15 Abholung in Hotel, 40 Minuten zum Bahnhof in ( unaussprechlich)
90 min Zugfahrt bis Aqua caliente. 30 Minuten Busfahrt bis Mach Picchu.
Dann geht es richtig los!!!!
Steil, schlecht zu gehen, unser Führer ermuntert uns bei jeder Stufe. Die Mühsal lohnt sich!!!!!
So war es!

Why the Incas have chosen this place to settle stays as a secret. With our todays possibilities to go their , is very tiring.

We stay in Urabambo, that is village, a District and a river.
From here is no decent hotel on the way, so we had to go like this:

9:20 pick up time at our hotel
40 min driving to the train station.

90 minutes train ride to aqua caliente
Than 30 min bus ride to the base of Machu Picchu
Then it started , steep up, our guide forced us at every step:

You will see wonderful views

And it was like that!

Now quite tired
