Y Linh Ho and Lao Chai Village

8:30 am start ... trekking down to the south east of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho, then trek through rice terraces & along Muong Hoa stream to Lao Chai village was only a brief moment we could take in the spectacular landscape of Hoang Lien Son mountain as the fog was so so heavy. We went through the terraced rice fields to Ta Van village, home of Dzay minority people. The Dzay people speak Tay – a language belonging to the Thai group. Dzay women wear a five-panel blouse split at the sides & buttoned on the right & dark indigo trousers. The blouses differ in color depending on their age. Old women usually wear darker shades. Women wrap their hair around their head & fix it in place with red thread. The ground was so slippery... I came unstuck and landed in mud and buffalo crap!!! Was a total of 10.5 kms today.Lue lisää
