Phillip Island - VIC

Arrived after lunch and we quickly caught up with housekeeping. Then we went to Cowes Beach, Nobbies Centre and took an enjoyable coastline broad walk and saw lots of Cape Barren Geese. At sunset, we did an underground tour of the Penguin Parade. It was amazing to see little penguins coming out of the water and waddle past you at eye level, to go to their burrows. Unfortunately photography wasn’t allowed but it was an amazing experience to witness these gorgeous creatures in the wild, under a clear night sky of the southern cross and milky way on display. Next day we drove out to look look at Phillip Island Circuit then drove out to Churchill Island, that had a feeling of the olden days. Went to Cape Woolomai and beach and watched a bit of a surf competition.Read more
