The Keweenaw Peninsula is the northernmost part of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. It projects into Lake Superior and was the site of the first copper boom in the United States. Brockway Mountain Drive runs along the ridge of Brockway Mountain on the Keweenaw Fault. At the top of the mountain we had a full panoramic view of the surrounding area including Lake Superior, Copper Harbor, Eagle Harbor and surrounding lakes and forests.Lue lisää

After breakfast we departed for Lake of the Clouds. Surrounded by the silhouettes of the ancient Porcupine Mountains, the Lake of the Clouds is a blue gem amid the thick forest and one of the most photographed features in the area. Stopped at Bond Falls for lunch, a beautiful water fall located along the Ontonagon River. Then on to Norway Spring.Lue lisää
