    Helsingør to Mölle

    Jul 25–26 in Denmark ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

We're rolling! Ferry to Helsingborg, a nice (warm) trip to camping site in Mölle.

  • Hviledag / resting day in Bolmen

    July 29 in Sweden ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

    Fishing and chilling.

  • Bolmen to Bolmsö

    July 30 in Sweden ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

We left Bolmen and rode mainly through the woods passing alpacas! and village Tannåker where we shopped. Sitting on the terrace of Boat Bar was like a French cafe, everyone has to stop here for gas, shopping, an ice cream or a bite. Campervans from several countries, motorcycles, young and old. Locals with dogs, huge lorries.
We continued to the island Bolmsö to a comfy bed at Hägeren which is beautifully situated with eternal sunset.
On a short trip to a nearby secret beach, a German family were stuck in a boat, their outboard not wanting to start. Morten who has extensive outboard experience was able to help them. Much gratitude expressed 😁.

  • Holsljunga to Sätila

    August 2 in Sweden ⋅ 🌧 20 °C

After a morning swim (Kamma), the wet tent was packed and we headed off quickly in order to avoid more announced rain, meaning we covered more kilometres quicker than on any other day. However there was still time for a "trollkorv" on a milestone in Skene (Morten) 🌭.
Arriving in Sätila we were accomodated in a pension, meaning we have a big room for drying stuff, taking a nap and a semi day off. The restaurant next door serves schnitzels and other classic dishes.

  • Sätila to Göteborg

    Aug 3–4 in Sweden ⋅ ☁️ 21 °C

Yes, we made it to Göteborg, our first "milestone". We had planned to leave rather (for us) early, but it tuned out that Mortens hadn't charged properly (and we not checked that properly) so we had to sit around for a while to wait for that. Then we went full speed and arrived in Göteborg just as it began to rain. Settled into a place with a much needed washing machine and Morten cooked some chanterelle soup.Read more

  • Social and cultural days in Göteborg

    Aug 5–6 in Sweden ⋅ 🌬 16 °C

A bit of touristing, lunch in Saluhallerne, cruising a few outdoor shops and a lovely dinner at the pan Asian restaurant Toso with good friends who live in Göteborg.
We decided to hang out a day more and went to the maritime museum and also had more Asian food. The weather is tricky, causing us to doubt our plans for the next days. We'll see how it goes?Read more

  • Göteborg - Frederikshavn - Voerså

    August 6 in Denmark ⋅ 🌬 17 °C

The wind and dropping temperatures of (otherwise really nice) Göteborg put us in doubt as to how (and whether?!) to continue (we met two young Berlin based Greek bikepackers who were in the same situation, doubting their wardrobe etc. - we thought they were strong and adviced them to continue to Oslo, but leave the coast).
We finally decided to, of course! continue to Frederikshavn with the ferry, defying the wind, and onwards to Voerså.

  • Bogens to Rørvig Strand

    August 10 in Denmark ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

We left Earthwise (the name of Christine's residency place in Bogens) and caught the last Ebeltoft-Odden ferry in this season! Of course we had to stop at Tir Bakery, as this wonderful breadshop in non-summer month's, reside across the street in Frederiksberg where we live, and we miss the bread!
We camped in another beach camping at Rørvig where we met an experienced Dutch bikepacker on her way home from a 4 month Europe bike trip.
Swimming as well as another sunset on the beach.

  • Going home - Rørvig to Herlev

    August 11 in Denmark ⋅ ☁️ 20 °C

    Going home...
We left Rørvig and took yet another small ferry from Sølager to Kulhuse and then cycled through the forest to Frederikssund where we took an S train to our allotment house.

This was such a great, beautiful, calming trip with gravel challenges, very varied sceneries, lots of friendly people + good weather 😎💚💥Read more
