Are you guys wondering where we spent our very first night on the road? I’ll tell you: at home 🫣
When we went to move the laundry from the washing machine to the dryer this Saturday morning, the washing machine just gave us the finger on🖕🏼. Even after Rupert had half taken it apart and checked the drains, it remained stubborn.
While studying the instruction manual, I was stunned to realize that this old thing actually has a Smart function and can connect to my phone via an app. Go figure! So I immediately downloaded the app, turned on Bluetooth, even found the Smart Control button on the machine (that we never asked ourselves about... oh well 😁), and everything that happened—and a lot did happen—didn't get us any further.
So, we have to call customer service first thing tomorrow. Who wants to come back from a long trip with a mountain of dirty laundry, and—you know 😳 Plus, Ivy, our Oscar-feeder and house-sitter, probably doesn't want to hand-wash her jeans either... 😅

Fragt ihr euch, wo wir an unserem ersten Reisetag übernachtet haben. Ich sag's euch: Zuhause 🫣 Als wir Samstagmorgen die Wäsche von der Waschmaschine in den Trockner umladen wollten, zeigte uns die Waschmaschine den Stinkefinger 🖕🏼. Auch nachdem Rupert sie halb auseinander genommen und die Abflüsse gecheckt hatte, blieb sie stur. Beim Studieren der Betriebsanleitung stellte ich erstaunt fest, dass dieses olle Ding eine Smart Funktion hat und sich über eine App mit meinem Phone verbinden lässt. Na sowas! Ich sofort die App runtergeladen, Bluetooth ein, sogar Smart Control Taste an der Waschmaschine gefunden (dass wir uns nie gefragt haben ... na ja 😁) und alles, was passierte - und es tat sich einiges - brachte uns nicht weiter. Also, morgen früh Kundendienst anrufen. Wer möchte schon mit einem Berg an schmutziger Wäsche von einer langen Reise zurück kommen und - ihr wisst schon 😳 Außerdem möchte Ivy - unsere Oscar Versorgerin und Haus Bewacherin, ja vielleicht auch ihre Jeans nicht mit der Hand waschen ... 😅
