    Our journey started on the 24th of October with us leaving home at approximately 17:30. Our first overnight stop was planned for Rothenburg ob der Tauber.
    We took a break on the A49 service station Holzhausen Ost, where we bought ourselves two XXL Frikadellen. And as it was getting late and I was getting tired, we decided to cut short the journey and stopped in the little town called Motten, where we found a parking site, arriving at around 23:30.Read more

    Rothenburg ob der Tauber

    Around midday, we left Motten and continued our journey towards Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Back in October 2022, we stopped here overnight in Rothenburg, but due to the fact that the weather wasn't too good, we didn't really see very much of the old town.
    We arrived at around 14:00 in Rothenburg ob der Tauber. This old medieval town is very beautiful, with its intact walled fortification dating back to the 12th century. We walked along parts of the fortified wall and enjoyed the sights of the original old town buildings, and stopped for a short break in a quaint little cafe. It's always worth a visit.
    We left Rothenburg ob der Tauber at around 18:00 and drove on towards our next overnight stop in the town of Kempten in Allgäu.    Read more

    We arrived at our overnight parking spot in the town of Kempten late in the evening, at around 21:30. After having a bowl of noodle soup, we went to bed. The next day, we spent a few hours walking around the local market beside the Basilika St. Lorenz and the Rathaus Platz.Read more
