After a morning trip to the main market with Sithy we travelled out to the farm of Alan and Ruth
The dormers were having a study weekend and spent Sunday there

We all headed out to the Russian market in the morning
After lunch Brendo, Vann, Philip and I went to the Genocide Museum - very sobering
Dinner was down at the riverside at the Titanic restaurant

Off to the province! And to the farm of Sithy’s parents
We stopped along the way to visit Sithy’s sister and her husband

They own three blocks and grow cashews and bananas

After a Khmer breakfast we headed over the Mekong on the ferry and on to Kampi to see the river dolphins
Lunch was in Kratie and then some shopping for dinner at the market and back home
School visit

Off to the local school to hand out some basic supplies they don’t have
Then checked out a Chinese owned rubber plantation down by the farm

Trek to Siem Reap

An early start and a twelve hour bus ride to get to Siem Reap
The hotel is totally worth it!!

We started out walking (something tuk tuk drivers don’t understand 😆) and came upon a temple

We started the day early with a 4:30am pick up from the hotel and out to temple Park by mini van. We joined the thousands buying tickets then on the Angkor Wat for sunrise. A wander through the templeLeia mais

We had a relax at our sumptuous hotel till check out
Then moved to our not-so-sumptuous one to be with Brendo and Sithy

We headed out to the fishing village where everyone lives up high to avoid the wet season

We then headed to the BEC for a very quick visit as Loy was busy
