Pula

It continued hammering it down last night until around 2am, then the thunder storms started and the wind whipped up - we thought the caravan was going to take off so we didn't get much sleep! Luckily the sun returned this morning for our visit to Pula, which we wanted to see last year but ran out of time. The main draw is the Roman amphitheatre and it doesn't disappoint. It is quite earie to sit on the steps and imagine what it was like to watch death for fun 🤔 The rest of the city is a strange mix of Roman, Venetian, Art Deco, awful tower blocks and a working port!
