On the trip from Melbourne to Mooroopna, you have the choice of returning through Shepparton or via the small town of Murchison.
Part of the same council as both Shepparton and Mooroopna, this place is very well cared for. The parkland runs quite a way along the side of the river, with businesses along the other side of the road.
The bakery here was very busy normally but while we wee here a bus load of tourists had arrived for lunch. We ate here and then had a short walk over to the river.
One interesting thing we noticed on the way out of town was that there were three churches all side by side. One stop worship for all comers!Read more
