The Lions club must be quite busy here. They have an old church as their meeting place. A lot of work has been done on the Lions Park with good amenities and a free barbecue. The whole area is very well maintained.
To the side of the park is the start of a dairy museum. An old engine, genset and milking machine drive. It's all a layout I had not seen before and probably predates the more common Southern Cross machines. Vacuum for the milking process was created by a reciprocating piston. There did not seem to be a teat attachments though. These were easily damaged as they aged so were often discarded.Read more
