Beechworth has quite a few very scenic spots. The man-made Sambell Lake is a beautiful place to relax with a picnic lunch, walk the dog or take the kids for a paddle in a safe sandy spot.

A short drive takes in some spectacular scenery finishing with the newtown bridge and falls. There is also the historic powder magazine. A very solid wall around the building ensured that any explosion would be directed upward.Læs mere
