    Wongi Waterholes

    This morning we walked along the waterholes. The scenery changes from one waterhole to another. Some are deep dark pools. Others are fully covered in mats of water plant and some are solid reed beds.

    The wildlife is spoilt for choice with so many different habitats. Small finches flitter around in the shrubs, larger birds work the tall paperbacks while pardelopes can be heard but not seen. They tend to sit high in the bloodwoods and eucaltpts and make their chip, chip, chip.
