Sarina is in the start of the cane growing area of North Queensland. The triumphs and mistakes are well shown with the biggest mistake of all on huge display. Buffy the cane toad represents what can go wrong when inadequate research precedes a decision to import exotic animals.

The murals show illustrations of the old way of harvesting sugar cane. Totay it is all tractors fueled by copious amounts of diesel fuel.
