Gum Tree Swamp

Travelling south just past Forbes is the gum tree swamp. Advertised as a bird watchers paradise we needed to check it out.

The giant goanna sculpture was very impressive and required a few photos. The Hunter turned out to be a stylized bird of prey creation made from rusty steel.

Many well constructed bird hides make this an ideal spot to observe many species of birds. Our time was limited so this place is added to our ever growing list.Read more
