    Uluru and Kata Tjuta

    June 1, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

Despite being incredibly touristy and feeling a bit ‘commercialised’ at times, Uluru and Kata Tjuṯa were still breathtaking. The base walk around Uluṟu and the Valley of the Winds walk around Kata Tjuta were some of the best day hikes we had both been on for a long while. The spiritual significance that both of these places have for the Anangu people is palpable as the sheer size and texture of the rocks are hard to describe in words!
Both places have been requested that photographs not be taken in certain areas, in particular for Kata Tjuta which was believed to be a special place for Men’s business.
