Okay, so ... I know these pictures are a bit out of order. But I put the very best at the beginning. We went out for drinks after dinner and another patron brought in the dog while hanging out. The dog hopped up the Lucie (the dog owner confirmed it was okay with Lucie first), sat down, and just plopped his cute little head on her lap. If made my heart fall into my butt, it was so cute. Apparently he is approximately 10 years old and was found on the streets. He was so incredibly sweet and well-behaved. Please take a moment to sign my imaginary petition to get more dogs to hangout in bars.

I also am putting some pictures from the walk before the bar, in front of the bar, at the bar, and after the bar.

It was the first time Lucie and I had ever seen a full blown vending area that had alcohol, cigarettes, condoms, medication, and sushi (just to name a few). We were blown away. Also, check out this cool cathedral thing.En savoir plus

Bedhead in Austria just hits different.

The first pic is from Snapchat. The second picture is a photo I just took and I think captures my feelings about looking like I got into a fight. 😭 I pretty much feel fine but my top lip is so chapped from how much blowing of my nose that I think it's a ✨smidge✨ swollen.

A fantastic trip to the Albertina Modern museum that had beautiful pieces of modern art. I could've spent hours there just looking at the displays. I was pleasantly surprised when I found out there was an Andy Warhol exhibit.

Keeping the peace by eating döner kebab.

The only way for me to stop angering Belgians was to finally eat döner kebab. 🤣 They were offended when I told them about our shish kebabs (though both are kebabs!).

Bus was a last minute addition because half of my train got canceled. The bus was 25 minutes late but I celebrated once I got on board with a pastry from the train station.

Red Light Secrets

Yes, the museum I went to, Red Light Secrets, is the first ever museum on prostitution. It was very educational and I think does a great job of humanizing sex workers, raising awareness around safety/health, and gives a voice to an extremely ostracized and alienated population.

Omar for president. I told him I'd give him a massive tip if he could get me to the bus on time. He got me there 6 minutes earlier than what the GPS originally said. 🤣 Definitely earned it!!!

Remember when I said "updates to come"?

Yeah... So... About that...

I didn't have the chance to update y'all because I was trying to conserve my phone battery and because I knew if I posted the legitimate update, I'd have a lot of people in a panic.

Long story short; I ended up getting stranded in Rotterdam this morning... And, well, that wasn't scheduled on my itinerary. I worked my chaotic magic and managed to do all I wanted in Amsterdam with only one close call of getting hit by the city tram, bribing an Uber driver to go full blown Fast & Furious (shout out to my boy, Omar), and peeing in a wall-to-wall and ceiling-to-floor mirrored bathroom in the middle of the Red Light District.

Did I get a few hours cut off my trip? Yes. Will I have some stories to share later on? Oh, You. Bet. Your. Bottom. Dollar.

I need a little bit to catch my breath after chasing the train and then I'll post later today. It's worth the wait, I promise.

I've never enjoyed a book store as much as I did this one. Gay's The Word is the UKs oldest operating LGBTQ+ bookstore. I bought so many books because I genuinely feel so motivated to start reading again. It's amazing what loving a topic can do for your motivation. Check it out here!
