    Darwin to Renner Springs

    September 2, 2021 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 32 °C

An uneventful trip to Renner busy on road in the morning but then quiet afterwards

At Renner and they didn’t have our booking but didn’t matter as there was plenty of rooms vacant, however the caravan park was full.

Tea that night was delicious and we had a lovely sunset earlier

  • Binns Track - Gem Tree to Alice Springs

    September 8, 2021 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 13 °C

Left Gem Tree and arrived at Stuart Wells roadhouse, staying for two nights. Yep refueled in Alice and kept going
    A very spacious cabin
Hale River Homestead looked very nice
Bloody gates, yes I was the gate keeper
Love my windmills and seen a few
Had this beautiful big gum tree on our travels
The poor cattle all waiting at the gate to get through but sorry we had a grid and thank goodness for that or I would have had my work cut out for me 😂
We will return and stay at Ross River Homestead to do the bits we missed at this end
A great day but tiring and the scenery was fantastic

Could camp here as you can also explore the area.

  • Henbury Meteorites

Love how some one has made the stools for the tables
Out to have a look at the meteorite craters, could camp there as there was more dotted over the place and yes we both done the walk
Love the wild flowers down here

Next stop was The Pebbles (like a mini Devil’s Marbles

Then one of Allan trying to find the lake behind Elliott, some people know it’s there and you could access it once upon a time north of Elliott. About 45k’s south you can usually see it but not this time

The flower is on a tree at HiWay Inn

  • Daly Waters (HiWay Inn) to Darwin

    September 15, 2021 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

Stopped at the Pink Panther in Larrimah. They are renovating so hopefully the place will be very nice. Not a place that has ever appealed to me

Road works as usual and I do like these traffic lights, nothing like doing the countdown waiting for your turnRead more
