Dead Sea and Wadi Mujib

Our last full day :( It started with a river canyon hike in Wadi Mujib which was right next to our accommodation. It was about 2hours up and back. At points the water was quite shallow and at others we were climbing up, or sliding down, waterfalls and being completely submerged. It was mostly shaded and we were very glad for the relief from the heat, and also glad we did it early as it was starting to get very busy as we were leaving. It was really good fun and quite challenging in parts, but floating back downstream in the current was lovely.

Afterwards we had no where to change or dry off so we chanced our luck and headed straight to our final accommodation in the hope of an early check-in. We’re staying at the Marriott Dead Sea resort which is a change from the rest of the holiday but a welcome chance to relax. It was another crazy hot day so we spent some time in the spa and then enjoyed lazing around the pool reading our books. I don’t think I could do a full week in a resort, but it’s a lovely way to end a trip.Weiterlesen
