We were sad to leave the desert this morning but were treated to a traditional Bedouin breakfast before we did. They cooked bread straight on the fire’s ashes and then tore it into pieces and mixed it with yoghurt and ghee. Robbie loved it, Daisy was unconvinced.
We then drove 4 hours to The Dead Sea, stopping at a roadside restaurant outside Dana for lunch where a very sweet father and his young son served us chicken and hummus with complementary tea.
We didn’t realise how hot it was until we stepped out of the car at our accommodation at 4pm - our phones were saying 39 degrees! We hid out in the air conditioned room for a bit and then went down for a float in the Dead Sea. The sensation was quite odd, and every cut we didn’t know we had stung, but it was a lovely temperature.
