    Decided not to visit Toledo this time due to the weather, lots of rain about just now. So stopped here to break the journey before heading on to Cordoba.

    Puerto Lápice is a small but charming town in Ciudad Real, very close to the province of Toledo, which has less than 1000 inhabitants but is certainly worth a visit.

    The town is best known for being mentioned in Don Quixote. In this work, Miguel de Cervantes writes that Don Quixote's first adventure took place in Puerto Lápice, where he was knighted.
