Day #155 Uzbekistan (part 2)

Continues the walking tour by going to Shakhi Zinda, which is a corridor of turquoise and sapphire coloured tiled mausoleums. They house important people from the past, including the sisters and wives of Amir Temur. Also, Kusam ibn Abbas, cousin of the Prophet Muhammed is buried there.

We then had a rest from the heat and went out for our anniversary meal in the evening. Afterwards, we watched the light show at Registan Square, which was pretty cool. It told the story of Samarkand and Uzbekistan.Læs mere
