Day #159 Armenia (part 1)

A big day trip to Armenia.

After the border crossing visited Haghpat Monestary in the beautiful mountains. These were different to the Georgian churches much darker inside relying on natural light.

Then went to Dilijan which was a little tourist town by a lake. Then to Sevanavank Monastery in Sevan (by Sevan lake), with 2 churches overlooking the lake.

Then to Yerevan where we went to the Mother of Armenia statue (it holds a big sword to look like a cross and faces Turkey), Cascade complex with some cool art statues and 556 steps to climb. Then a walk around the city centre.Leggi altro
