Day #164 Azerbaijan

Day trip with many stops out of Baku.

First we went to the Bibeyheybat mosque which was a nice building and very colourful inside.

Then we went to the mud volcanoes. Azerbaijan has the most mud volcanoes in the world and this area has about 800. It was actually very cold to the touch.

Then to Gobustan national park which had cool rock formations and the oldest Petroglyphs in Azerbaijan.

We stopped at Fire Mountain where natural methane had been burning for 4000 years. We visited the Zoroastrian fire temple as well. There's about 300 Zoroastrian's left in Azerbaijan.

Last stop at the art museum and the 'I love Baku' sign.Read more
