Started with Kapiti Coast ParkRun. Lovely out and back course, gradual up hill then down.

Started with a visit to Gollum's pool.
19km Tama Lakes hike but the weather wasn't good. Lots of rain and visibility was poor, so we couldn't actually see Mt. Doom even though 500m fromLeggi altro

Walk around Taupo and Lake Taupo. Had a coffee on the lake front. Shaun saw the IronMan stuff, as that's where they hold the New Zealand event each year.

Hiked part of the Tongoriro Alpine Crossing with Shaun. Got to Soda Springs before it got too difficult for me and my poor lungs 🫁😭

Trip to Matamata and Hobbiton!
Got to see The Shire, where they filmed the Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. So much fun!

Travelled north to Tawharanui Regional Park for a windy walk along the beach, before heading to the campsite in Auckland for our last night in the campervan.

Melbourne waking city tour to see all the main sites, including the river and old jail where Ned Kelly was hanged. Also saw some more cool street art.

Visit to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary in Hobart in the morning. They rescue injured or abandoned animals and rehabilitate them, before releasing them back into the wild (where possible).

Easy day around Launceston today due to it raining. Went to the Platypus House and Echidna Garden. So fun to see them at the sanctuary. Really cool animals.
