The hotel is amazing. 10 floors. 4 pools. Been exploring. Free Wi Fi throughout the place.

Day trip to Seville

Had an early start today. We were collected by coach at 6.45 am with a packed breakfast. Crossed over the international bridge into Spain. Middle of the river is the border. Didn't need our passports.
The cathedral has the tomb of Christopher Columbus.
We went to Starbucks for lunch and sat outside.

Lisbon Day Trip

Today's trip is to Lisbon. It's closer than Seville, only 97 miles away. The city is over two thousand years old. Romans lived beside the river. Became the capital city in 1255, making it the oldest capital city in the world.
We crossed the 25th April Bridge. It celebrates the ending of the dictatorship in 1974. The lower section of the bridge is for trains. It is similar in drsign to the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco
There is a statue of Christ here similar to the one in Rio de Janeiro but smaller.

Exploring Albufeira

Tried the archery competition this morning. Came second with 60 points. Then went into town afterwards. Jumped on the city tour bus, showing the new & old sections of the city which took two hours.
Arrived back at the hotel in time for the Darts competition. You had to beat the previous person's score or lose a life. Sarah won it.

It was dull and rainy today. Most outside events were cancelled. We decided to just stay put on the hotel. Took part in games organised by the entertainment staff.
Cleared up long enough mid afternoon for the Archery to take place. I came out on top after 4 rounds with 150 points.Read more

Going Home

Dull & cloudy today. Supposed to clear up later today or tomorrow. We had an early start, not as early as the city trips. Glad we did the majority of the packing last night.
The coach arrived promptly at 8.20 am this morning.
Good flight home. Left Faro late & arrived back in Edinburgh early. Only one complaint the airline messed up Emma's in-flight meal. Gave her a vegetable meal instead of Bangers & Mash.
It was dry in Edinburgh when we arrived.
