We left the house at 4pm
Later than planned. Should have been an easy two and a half hour drive. There was a crash on the A82 just at Luss. The police closed the road. We were diverted to Helensburgh. A narrow road runs along side the loch. A bus and a truck were trying to pass each other. Yet more delays. We made it eventually after four and a half hours. Dinner more than made up for it. Had a nice breakfast.
Sun was shining but windy too.
Took the ferry across to the Kyles Of Bute. Stopped to take pictures of Colintraive from across the water. Then headed to Ettrick Bay. Lovely sandy beach. Had many happy memoirs there.

We reluctantly left the hotel. It was a beautiful day. Stopped at Dunans Castle. Discovered it was closed on Sundays and we needed to make an appointment at least two weeks in advance.
