The second largest city in Bavaria is filled with half-timbered houses & Gothic churches with intricate spires. Nearly destroyed during WWII,the remaining medieval city walls stretch some 3 miles & feature original gateways & 80 original watchtowers. Nuremberg is infamous for its role in WWII as the site of Zeppelin Fields Nazi rallies and the war crimes trials at the Palace of Justice.
