Old Roman Wall, Tower Hill

Suzie - This section of the Roman built walls around the city the Romans named Londinium, are 40 foot high and date from 200AD 😀😀😀 You bet I was going to touch them!!!! They are some of the best preserved in the City of London. They are characterised by the layers of red tile to ensure the walls were level in each section before the next part of the wall was erected. Those Romans were pretty clever!!!Leia mais
