    What a gorgeous place! This was a gold mining village half way between Queenstown and Wānaka and the Cardrona Hotel (where we are now) is one of the oldest in New Zealand, built in 1863.

    It's also home to the Cardrona Alpine Resort which attracts families, Olympic and X Games athletes. Looks pretty good, might go!!
