Our Southern Sojourn!

Trev and I are off to Melbourne for a couple of days, then the South Island of New Zealand, then back to Melbourne before flying home to Brisbane. Join us!! 😀😀😀 Les mer

    We made it back into Melbourne around 8am, however, due to a wrong turn (Melbourne International, you really need to sort out your lack of signage and design!), we ended up leaving arrivals without our bags and needed to wait until 9.45am to get them. However, even this was sort of a blessing in disguise as we were able to check into our hotel (Quincy Hotel in Flinders Lane) when we arrived there.

    After we put our bags down, we headed off to St Kilda to check it out and have lunch. We caught a tram to and from and came back to the hotel and slept as we had been up since 4.30am New Zealand time.

    We then went to dinner at The Sherlock Holmes in Collins Street - Trev went there on a previous visit to Melbourne and wanted to show me. It's a gorgeous little English pub! I really liked it!! 😀😀😀😀    Les mer

    Monopoly Dreams, Melbourne

    Anyone who knows me, knows that I love board games and my favourite board game of all time is Monopoly....no one plays with me anymore though!!! 😭😔😭

    So when Monopoly Dreams opened up in Melbourne, myself and many other people asked if this would be coming to Brisbane. It may or may not, so I was really happy to go to this today!! Wooooo!

    It was wonderful fun! It was really interactive with games to play and challenges to unlock along the way. And lots of facts about the game since it's release in 1935. I would have liked to see the history of the game from when it was called The Landlord's Game and the history behind it's concept. But still, I had the best time!! Not sure if Trev enjoyed it as much as I did!!    Les mer

    Untitled Goose Game Exhibition, ACMI, Me

    We visited the Untitled Goose Game Exhibition at ACMI today. Great look behind the scenes of a very successful Australian indie game. Great seeing what inspired the game (Japanese gangster movie, slapstick movies and the Hitman games to name a few) as well as how it has influenced popular culture.

    Mind you as we watched footage and people playing every time the goose did something I'd hear "that bloody goose!" from Suzie who just added "I hate that goose"!    Les mer

    We are back in Brisbane (rude!) and not liking this temperature!! We have had a beautiful trip and are planning our next adventures!!
