Wedgetail Inn "Hotel"

Cocklebiddy, right on Nuytsland Nature Reserve... Sorry, that made me laugh, but it was a very long drive.

This was the roadhouse that we were most worried about staying at, actually; it had terrible Google reviews. And after seeing how modern Eucla looked, we thought we might have made a mistake... But Eucla was three hours ago. Turns out it wasn't actually too horrible at all, and thankfully I managed to have a decent night's sleep.

The place gets its name for housing a couple of injured wedge-tailed eagles who can't be returned to the wild.Read more
