Halls Gap
4. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C
One street kind of town, filled with kangaroos and birds. But it was a really pretty place to stay the night at this time of year. Our AirBnB was extremely comfy and completely private.
Reeds Lookout for Sunset
4. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C
With a bottle of Prosecco from the AirBnB in hand to enjoy the 8:45pm sunset (crazy time of day).
Grand Canyon
5. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 17 °C
With my minor obsession with the rock formations here, this was exactly my type of walk. It is part of a much larger Pinnacle Lookout walk, but on its own it was totally worth it. Again, I would haveWeiterlesen
Boroka Lookout
5. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C
A little goodbye lookout of the Grampians before we head out on our way again. I'm glad we left this to the end, it was a gorgeous view.
Dartmoor Natural Spring
5. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C
It might not look like much, but this is natural spring water running out of this trap continually. Filling up our water bottles and a splash on my face to keep me awake after the long drive.
Umpherston Sinkhole
5. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C
So cool, a full-on sinkhole in the main street of the city. Not only that, it's been turned into this incredible garden over the past 100 plus years. Even with its own bee colonies attached. So prettyWeiterlesen
Blue Lake
5. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C
It gets that name for a reason I guess, it's pretty blue for a lake haha. Lucky for us, it's only this colour for a few months of the year.
Port MacDonnell
6. Februar in Australien ⋅ ⛅ 16 °C
Up early and on our way again, first stop was the cute little town of Port MacDonnell to see the penguins and have breakfast. Not actual penguins, just statues of them.
Ewens Ponds
6. Februar in Australien ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C
More then likely people won't even know this place exists, even if they happened to come into this area. Snorkelling and diving is via permit only. But why would you do that here? Because the water isWeiterlesen
Earl's Cave
6. Februar in Australien ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C
Just another random stop, this place is like swiss cheese.
Cape Northumberland
6. Februar in Australien ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C
South Australia's most southerly point, and the ruins of a Lighthouse here. For some reason they thought it was a good idea to build a big building on crumbling rocks... That didn't last very long,Weiterlesen
Kilsby Sinkhole
6. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C
Crystal clear blue water that is pierced by sunbeams while floating around. We were able to see somewhere between 40 and 65 metres to the bottom of the swimmable area. I wish we could have tried outWeiterlesen
Cave Garden
6. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C
Not as impressive and big as the first one we saw, but this sinkhole garden is right in the middle of Mount Gambier.
Tantanoola Tiger
6. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C
We knew nothing about this story until we read the story on the fridge of our AirBnB at Mount Salt station. Apparently that was the location that the "tiger" was shot and killed in 1895 after it'sWeiterlesen
Robe
6. Februar in Australien ⋅ 🌬 17 °C
Our stop for the night, we just did a little drive around to see the most famous thing in the area... An obelisk. Actually it is an interesting thing, they can shoot tickets from it to boats inWeiterlesen
Murray the Skeleton
7. Februar in Australien ⋅ 🌙 11 °C
Not what you expect to see at 5am in the morning on the side of the road.
The Big Lobster
7. Februar in Australien ⋅ 🌙 12 °C
Another one of Australia's big things has been ticked off.
Birdman of the Coorong (Meningie)
7. Februar in Australien ⋅ ⛅ 14 °C
A bushranger who rides the back of an ostrich, that's a first for me.
Pink Lake
7. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 15 °C
Yeah... Not quite.
Waiting for the punt
7. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 16 °C
Nothing special, I just liked the photos while waiting for the punt at Wellington.
Victor Harbor
7. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 19 °C
This was a funny little stop. The sun was really harsh even though the wind was cold, and our memory of Granite Island was that it was rock and grass and not much else. So feeling lazy, all we did wasWeiterlesen
Waitpinga Beach
7. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 20 °C
A stunning beautiful beach with no people... But ironically too dangerous to allow swimming.
Waitpinga Quad Bikes
7. Februar in Australien ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C
Awesome experience cruising around on a working farm on quad bikes. A really cool property with a big mix of terrain, even a sandy area which I want expecting. Lapping around the cows, who couldn'tWeiterlesen
Cape Jervis
7. Februar in Australien ⋅ 🌬 21 °C
We were just driving around because unfortunately our original plan of a 4WD tour in the Deep Creek National Park was cancelled since it was on fire. So we stopped out at Cape Jervis, seeing the windWeiterlesen
Rapid Bay Beach
7. Februar in Australien ⋅ 🌬 22 °C
Another impromptu stop, there was a cave out here that was better to look at in pictures then in real. The beach was interesting and something not common in Australia, half sand half really smoothWeiterlesen
