  • The Curium Experience

    January 30 in Australia ⋅ 🌙 22 °C

Taking a portal to break into Area 51 and steal and return a mysterious alien artifact is the Curium experience. Super detailed story and escape room(s). Maybe a few tensions as we tried to solve some of the puzzles with so much going on at the same time with the added pressure of time. It was a lot of fun, even if there was a little anxiety when I saw how we had to return back through the portal.Read more

  • Easey's

    January 30 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

One of those strange life moments where yesterday we were eating in one of the most expensive and top rated restaurants in the world, celebrating the flavours and techniques of using Australian native ingredients with perfection. Then today sitting in a graffiti covered train carriage at the top of a building eating burgers, hotdogs, mac n cheese and wings with barely organised staff... But here we are. PS. The food was messy and delicious 😋.Read more

  • METART World

    January 30 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 27 °C

The world's largest indoor scrap me Metal Art Gallery, apparently. Very detailed artworks actually and larger then life. Good to walk around and appreciate how much work must have went into each construction.Read more

  • National Gallery of Victoria

    January 30 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

  • Melbourne Skydeck and Edge

    January 30 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 28 °C

The Edge experience is a bit of fun. Platform moving out 3 metres from the side of the building and 280 meters off the ground. They try and make it feel a bit more dramatic then it is. I preferred the unglassed area of the SkyDeck to be honest, a great view from there.Read more

  • Game Worlds Exhibition at ACMI

    January 30 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

It always stings a little when you see things from your childhood and life in a museum. But since this was an exhibition of gaming from the 70s to nowthen it was ok, but very nostalgic seeing and being able to play SimCity and even SimAnt made an appearance. By it had everything from Zork to The Sims to Minecraft to Silksong to Stardrew Valley and everything in between. It was a good learning experience and a reminder of what makes games great.Read more

  • Graffiti Walk

    January 30 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 21 °C

We did a little self guided walk through a few streets to do a graffiti tour. When in Rome visit the Colosseum but when in Melbourne visit the graffiti.

  • Attica Restaurant

    January 29 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 22 °C

Way way too many dishes to take photos of, they said 14 but I feel like there were more... It was a 4 hour marathon. But it was a great celebration of Australian native flavours. We kept changing our favourites, mine was the crocodile but the boys liked the kangaroo the most, and I don't blame them because that was incredible. Attica seems to do this half-way break where they take you back into the kitchen and then outside into this ever-changing themed area for another small course and drink, the theme for us was magic garden where we met a beautiful chef from Peru who was really happy to get a chance to speak with Juanes in her native language. Speaking of drinks, the non alcoholic option was incredible to pair with the food.Read more

  • Puffing Billy

    January 29 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C

The old Puffing Billy stream train in Dandenong was a fun little adventure up and back to the Lakeside for lunch. You can sit on the window sill and hang your feet out the side of the train... But many places would allow doing that these days. But, no chance I was getting my big ass up on there, haha.Read more

  • Hot Air Ballooning

    January 29 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 15 °C

2am wakeup of our extremely nice AirBnB so that we could head out to go got air ballooning. Gorgeous view of the Yarra and Dandenong Ranges as we casually flew over the top. The first time we've had a basket lay down landing, so that was a new experience.Read more

  • Warburton Sequoia Forest

    January 28 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 28 °C

Californian Redwoods planned early last century as a forestry experiment makes it feel like such an unusual feeling to walk through. Absolutely stunning to walk through and the smell of the trees was also really nice.Read more

  • Bruno's Sculpture Garden

    January 28 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

I was completely overwhelmed with how detailed and incredible these sculptures and gardens were. Over 190 super detailed, original, creative and big sculptures done by Bruno to make a very magical feel garden as we walked around. Added throughout the gardens was pictures of what it looked like after the 2009 bushfires in this area that completely devastated the gardens and a lot of the sculptures.Read more

  • Bonnie Doon Dam

    January 28 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 31 °C

"How's the serenity?", ended up being a 2 hour detour for this photo because the road out of town was closed, so we had to take the long way around.

  • Glen Rowen and Ned Kelly

    January 28 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 31 °C

The site of the siege of Ned Kelly and his Gang. Where he was taken down and arrested for the last time.

  • The Horn

    January 27 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

A little early for sunset unfortunately, but still an absolutely beautiful sight looking out over the Australian Alps.

  • Beechworth Gaol

    January 27 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 35 °C

A 150 year old Gaol that was operating as a minimum security prison. But it's famous for holding a large number of the Underbelly gang as well as where Ned Kelly was taken to after the final capture before being sent to the gallows in Melbourne. They actually cancelled the tour that we booked in for because of extreme heat, but because we were booked in and they didn't realise we ended up getting a private tour.Read more

  • Alpine Way

    January 27 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 17 °C

A morning drive out of Thredbo. We were very lucky (Technically planned by Alex) that we got to see brumbys mixed with kangaroos. We also saw a big deer run past behind us too along the way.

  • Mount Kosciuszko

    January 26 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

What a triumph. Sure it's a walk and not like any other mountain in the world I'm sure. But for us the 13km walk, after already averaging 10km per day the last 4 days, was really tough. Getting to the summit was such an achievement, made it all so worth it. And what a way to celebrate Australia day too!Read more

  • Love Boats

    January 25 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 37 °C

Maybe the funnest way to spend a couple of hours in Canberra is cruising around on these fully kitted out little boats with a drink in one hand, cheese and crackers, and music way too loud. This was while everyone was also watching us from the shoreline for the pre-event of a drone show that night.Read more
