  • The Curium Experience

    30. tammikuuta, Australia ⋅ 🌙 22 °C

Taking a portal to break into Area 51 and steal and return a mysterious alien artifact is the Curium experience. Super detailed story and escape room(s). Maybe a few tensions as we tried to solve some of the puzzles with so much going on at the same time with the added pressure of time. It was a lot of fun, even if there was a little anxiety when I saw how we had to return back through the portal.Lue lisää

  • Easey's

    30. tammikuuta, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

One of those strange life moments where yesterday we were eating in one of the most expensive and top rated restaurants in the world, celebrating the flavours and techniques of using Australian native ingredients with perfection. Then today sitting in a graffiti covered train carriage at the top of a building eating burgers, hotdogs, mac n cheese and wings with barely organised staff... But here we are. PS. The food was messy and delicious 😋.Lue lisää

  • Game Worlds Exhibition at ACMI

    30. tammikuuta, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

It always stings a little when you see things from your childhood and life in a museum. But since this was an exhibition of gaming from the 70s to nowthen it was ok, but very nostalgic seeing and being able to play SimCity and even SimAnt made an appearance. By it had everything from Zork to The Sims to Minecraft to Silksong to Stardrew Valley and everything in between. It was a good learning experience and a reminder of what makes games great.Lue lisää

  • Graffiti Walk

    30. tammikuuta, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 21 °C

We did a little self guided walk through a few streets to do a graffiti tour. When in Rome visit the Colosseum but when in Melbourne visit the graffiti.

  • Attica Restaurant

    29. tammikuuta, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 22 °C

Way way too many dishes to take photos of, they said 14 but I feel like there were more... It was a 4 hour marathon. But it was a great celebration of Australian native flavours. We kept changing our favourites, mine was the crocodile but the boys liked the kangaroo the most, and I don't blame them because that was incredible. Attica seems to do this half-way break where they take you back into the kitchen and then outside into this ever-changing themed area for another small course and drink, the theme for us was magic garden where we met a beautiful chef from Peru who was really happy to get a chance to speak with Juanes in her native language. Speaking of drinks, the non alcoholic option was incredible to pair with the food.Lue lisää

  • Puffing Billy

    29. tammikuuta, Australia ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C

The old Puffing Billy stream train in Dandenong was a fun little adventure up and back to the Lakeside for lunch. You can sit on the window sill and hang your feet out the side of the train... But many places would allow doing that these days. But, no chance I was getting my big ass up on there, haha.Lue lisää

  • Bruno's Sculpture Garden

    28. tammikuuta, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 28 °C

I was completely overwhelmed with how detailed and incredible these sculptures and gardens were. Over 190 super detailed, original, creative and big sculptures done by Bruno to make a very magical feel garden as we walked around. Added throughout the gardens was pictures of what it looked like after the 2009 bushfires in this area that completely devastated the gardens and a lot of the sculptures.Lue lisää

  • Beechworth Gaol

    27. tammikuuta, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 35 °C

A 150 year old Gaol that was operating as a minimum security prison. But it's famous for holding a large number of the Underbelly gang as well as where Ned Kelly was taken to after the final capture before being sent to the gallows in Melbourne. They actually cancelled the tour that we booked in for because of extreme heat, but because we were booked in and they didn't realise we ended up getting a private tour.Lue lisää

  • Mount Kosciuszko

    26. tammikuuta, Australia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

What a triumph. Sure it's a walk and not like any other mountain in the world I'm sure. But for us the 13km walk, after already averaging 10km per day the last 4 days, was really tough. Getting to the summit was such an achievement, made it all so worth it. And what a way to celebrate Australia day too!Lue lisää

  • Love Boats

    25. tammikuuta, Australia ⋅ ☁️ 37 °C

Maybe the funnest way to spend a couple of hours in Canberra is cruising around on these fully kitted out little boats with a drink in one hand, cheese and crackers, and music way too loud. This was while everyone was also watching us from the shoreline for the pre-event of a drone show that night.Lue lisää
