Vikos Gorge

After three detours (reading signs is hard) and almost dying of dehydration (no, there was no water after two hours, as indicated by our hotel owner), we arrive in Vikos after around 7h of hiking through a truly stunning gorge. Green forests, a pearly white riverbed, and cliffs all around. And about an hour from the finish line, we come across a part of the river that hasn't completely dried out in the summer months and offers pools of incredibly clear water to cool off in instead... if you dare jump into 4°C water that is. (According to Google that's the river's temperature all year round.) But it looks and feels like paradise. All in all, an amazing hike!Lue lisää
