Volcano Arenal

The area is famous for volcano Arenal with its signature cone shape. We're lucky to see it in its entirety on the day of arrival and the next day. On day two and three, when we depart, it's at times completely hidden behind clouds and you would not suspect anything being there at all. We hike around on different trails, through forest and lava fields, both in the Arenal ecological park and the Arenal volcano 1968 trails, enjoying food and drinks with a view.Read more
