On the way to find "Pura Vida"

The Carribean coast of Costa Rica does not have all that many attractions. It's mostly Tortuguero and then a few villages and national parks several hours south of it. Because we do not want to miss out on the often spoken of Carribean vibe, we follow the rumours that Puerto Viejo (de Talamanca) is where "pura vida" is to be found and drive around four hours south after 1 1/2 hours on the boat back to La Pavona.
