    I am a little late starting my story of our trip to Lake Placid. We left ottawa Friday, it was a beautiful sunny day. Saturday, Kathy and Tony drove us into Lake Placid. On our way we visited John Brown's homestead, the olympic aerial ski jump site, the White Face ski hill and then we did some shopping in the town of Lake Placid. Today, Sunday, is a cool day. We walked to the chocolate store and visited a popular fly fishing spot on the Ausable river.
    This is our first trip of the season. We got the camper from the cottage last weekend and had a short week to get it ready to go. There were a few signs of mice and we searched diligently for a nest with no luck. Saturday evening while entertaining Kathy and Tony over dinner, our little whiskered friend showed herself. We didn't catch her but we did find her nest and young family. So New York now has a family of illegal aliens!
