Have now reached the camino - half an hour's walk from the hotel. And am finding that the tracker did not come on. On now I hope...

I’m assuming you put that sign there so that well-intentioned people won’t try to make sure that you’re OK. Great idea!
Laurie ReynoldsIna, are you walking alone this time?
TravelerExactly! And it worked beautifully!
TravelerIn principle I am walking alone. Need to prove to myself that I can still do it and I enjoy it so much. However this time I invited anybody of the family to join me for a few days if they want (they are all camino mordidos by now). My daughter Andrea will join me tomorrow and two of my grandchildren, sister and brother, will join me at the beginning of October. And a good friend will join me too, dates and details to be decided yet. So I will have plenty of time on my own still.
Laurie ReynoldsMy only suggestion would be that you should not take a siesta in a ditch like you have done in the past. I think the sign might not be enough to convince them to leave you alone.🤣
TravelerOnly bit of shade and bits of green among the parched brown grass. And I needed my siesta urgently.
