Day 41 First pause

First pause half way up to O Cebreiro at Laguna de Castilla. Fortunately in between the long upward stretches there are very occasional flat parts where I get back my breath. But anyway this is less bad than I anticipated - I advance with very small steps. This means very slowly, but advance all the same! Tortoise-style. Or slug-style, now I come to think of it!
The rain had stopped completely and under my wonderful new poncho I was drenched. However some of these paths are narrow with vegetation - impossible to put up the umbrella, at least not in hands-free mode. Will see how I will do in future.Read more
