Day 4 - Bijagua to La Cruz (Costa Rica)

Last full day in Costa Rica and a very challenging ride on bumpy, loose, rocky etc gravel. Once nearly off and once into the undergrowth for Catharine. Unfortunately the intensity of the gravel bashing has left Catharine’s arms feeling like “chin splints” every time there is any vibration through the handlebars - which is basically most of the time as the descents are steep with loose gravel plus very hard rocks you have to bounce over. Spectacular scenery but a very very long day. 74 miles and over 5,000 feet of climbing much of it on gravel.
