Downhill MTB back to Salento

This was a super fun trip. We were a group of 13 guys over for a french Colombian wedding on Saturday and a Portuguese couple. We drove for about an hour and a half by 4 wheel drive then we put on our crash helmets and jumped on our bikes and cycled downhill to la Carbonera where there were wonderful views of wax palms and had a great breakfast after checking out a waterfall. 1 accident on this leg. We got back in the 4 wheel drive to get back to the top and then it was freewheeling downhill back to Salento. Stunning scenery mixed with sketchy rough roads. By the end of the trip we had 1 broken bike, 3 punctured tyres. 1 person over their handle bars and another did a wipeout. Pleased to say we made it to the bottom in one piece and with big smiles on our faces. A fantastic trip.Read more
