La Candelaria, Medellín

We went into the centro of Medellin to go to the Museo Casa de la Memoria. A museum covering the turbulent history of Medellin and Colombia. We then went on to Plaza Botero to see the bronze statues of Fernando Botero. The statues were great but man the area was very sad. Lots of drug addicts and homeless people grasping rubbish bags but still managing to have a bottle of beer or spirits in their free hand. Very dirty and unsafe.Read more
