We travelled to Broken Hill on Tuesday April 21st for the celebration of life of my dear godmother Genette Crossing, she died the week before in her sleep at the nursing home aged 95. That night, we stayed at a wonderful AirBNB on Sulphide Street in Jenny's house nearer the centre of town. After attending the funeral parlor and the cemetery on Wednesday, we went back to the Mulga Hill Tavern for the wake with the Crossing family and reminisced about old times at Topar Station.

That night, we moved into Ian and Sarah Jaensch's place in South Broken Hill for 3 nights as they were in Broken Hill. On the Wednesday night, we visited the Palace Hotel which is famous for the film Priscilla Queen of the Desert, I gave the weekly karaoke a go with some success.

On the Thursday, we visited the Flying Doctors Outback Heritage visitor centre, the Regional Art Centre, Stephen's Creek Reservoir and the view from the Line of Lode and the Miners Memorial as well as Bell's Milk Bar on the way back.
On Friday, we visited the Broken Hill Mining Museum and Whites Mineral Art Gallery, Silverton Gaol Museum, Silverton Hotel, Umberumberka Dam, Mundi Mundi lookout, Living Desert Sculptures and the Whites Rock Historical Site. That night we went to dinner with the Jaensch's to the Musician Club where Ian won a $50 meat tray

We said good bye the Jaensch's on Anzac Day and drove to my brother Hugh and Jen's at Giles Corner where we stayed overnight, went out to dinner to the Hamley Bridge Hotel and went home the next morning, Sunday 26th April
