    First night: Kalgoorlie

    Only got into the park after arriving very late at night. They let us in because there was a medical emergency and Dr Jess [my travelling companion; pictured both in the roof-top tent above my swag and also in the big scoop] volunteered to assist (as she is obliged to do).
