We pitched our tent near the bottom of the gorge. Weather has changed, it is almost warm @ night even.

We are @ ca. 910 m, can both see the Mediterranean for the first time and also some pyrenean peaks covered in snow.

Another really great chateau. Just amazing.
Found an aspis viper on the way up and caught a beautiful grasshopper on the way down.

My favourite castle so far. It had been Aragonian until it became French in the 13th century.
Fantastic views from up there including towards Peyrepertuse.

A late start from the campsite in Tuchan because we had to sort out some problems.
Finally a nice supermarket in town plus an ATM. We had been down to less than 10 EUR.

Last day hiking from Durban-Corbières to the sea. A hot day hiking through la Garrique with interspersed vinyards and a pretty town (Roquefort) after more than 15k.

Port-la-Nouvelle: we've done it !

After more than 3 weeks we have arrived at our destination: Port-la-Nouvelle. It was a hot day and first stop had to be the beach where we took a swim in the warm sea.

We had one day left and also one travel-day on our Interrail pass to spare.
Banyuls isn't too far away and on top of that the origin of one of France's most famous Vin doux naturel.
