    Farewell Hawaii- homeward bound

    All packed up ready for the trip home- one last morning on the balcony before we dragged ourselves away from the beautiful Waikiki beach! Said our farewells to the pommies and all aboard the bus to airport- checked in boarded and just lIke that our fabulous holiday has come to an end!     Last day in Paradise

    After breakfast on the balcony we hired a car and drove to Diamond head, Hanauma bay and blowhole with Mark and Duncan, Chris hiked up the top of diamond head, I opted to escort the Poms back to the beach! Spent our last afternoon swimming and having drinks on the beach- lovely way to end a wonderful holiday! Happy hour was on the rooftop at Top of Waikiki overlooking Waikiki- great spot for drinks with a view! All 14 of us had dinner at the buffet at Sheraton Princess Kailani- delicious food- really enjoyed the 2 lobster tails!! We all walked back home full as!! Home time tomorrow- it’s been a fabulous holiday- thanks for the memories!! Aloha!Okumaya devam et

    Recovery day - sunset cruise

    A slow start after a big night! After a long sleep in we had a much needed coffee and headed out with the girls to try and finish off our shopping! Alison has been a great apprentice as she likes to call herself- but today she excelled in her shopping skills- apprenticeship officially done and dusted! Lunch and a swim then we all got on the sunset catamaran cruise off the beach. Was quite rough sailing out and most of us got wet, but all part of the fun! Smooth sailing back into shore with the sun setting on Waikiki and a few cocktails! Dinner at Atlantis steak and seafood- beautiful meal- the biggest scallops I’ve ever had- delicious!Okumaya devam et

    Huge day today for Glenn’s 60th- we started with a surf on an outrigger canoe - caught 3 waves in and stood up- was lots of fun, except for captain Chris up the front splashing us all with his paddle! Swam for a while afterwards then we all headed back to get dressed in Hawaiian outfits for the big kahunas 60th luau! We walked up to the Hilton stopping for a cocktail along the way at the Sheraton. They got Glenn up on stage to see who could blow his horn the loudest- of course Glenn won! Luau was good, we then called in to Hard Rock Cafe for a drink, and Moose Magillycuddys - played some pool and danced till 1am! On the walk home Chris decided to torment the hookers on the corner and had a pimp chase us up the road! Then out of blue right in front of the police station Glenn decided it would be funny to push Chris into the hedges- well Chris was stuck in the garden and Glenn fell over on the concrete! We dragged them both up as all the police officers came out to see what was going on- boys!!! Bed at 2am- big day but a lot of fun was had by all!’Okumaya devam et

    Pearl Harbour, Walmart, Hula pie

    A visit to pearl harbour for those that hadn’t been before- Chris went along to see the battle ship Missouri. Called in to check out Walmart at Ala Moana- it’s huge and everything in it is huge!
    Back to the hotel for an afternoon swim and happy hour by the pool. Dinner at a lovely Italian restaurant at the Marriott hotel called Arrancino del mar followed by dessert at Dukes- Hula Pie- a specialty there (giant ice cream cake!) The big party day for Glenn tomorrow !    Okumaya devam et

    Beach and Bar

    Breky on the balcony overlooking the beach is hard to take- going to miss this beautiful view! Did a bit of shopping and then went to the beach. Some interesting sights today- a lady doing her aerobics and splits on the wet sand, and another lady talking to her baby doll in her handbag- only in Waikiki! They have king tides here at the moment so we advised the boys to move their towels further away from the water- boys being boys did t listen and they all got soaked by a big wave- we didn’t laugh much- lol!
    Happy hour on the balcony watching sunset followed by drinks and dinner at Tikii bar- Glenn added a “Weston” sign next to the Sydney signpost outside the bar! A fun evening and a lovely meal.    Okumaya devam et

    Bikes and beach

    The bikie gang all got up early and headed to the north shore followed by Darren and Pam and the poms in a car, they spent the day sightseeing while Julie and I headed to Ala Moana for a shop.
    Met up with the riders at Hard Rock Cafe for drinks and dinner- had a plate of nachos between us that we couldn’t jump over- so big! The boys still managed to fit an ice cream in on the way home!Okumaya devam et

    Another perfect day in paradise

    After breakfast we strolled up the street to do a bit of shopping, then spent the afternoon at the beach in the lagoon section- floating around on our $4 abc store floats, was a lovely day.... again!
    Had a maitai by the pool for happy hour , followed by the worlds biggest meal at the Cheesecake Factory ! Lucky we walked off about 2% of it on our way back to hotel!    Okumaya devam et

    Beach day in Waikiki

    Woke up to another beautiful morning in Waikiki! After breakfast we headed to the beach for a relaxing day- water was perfect and clear. For lunch we had our favourite sandwich from Pais sandwich bar. Back to the pool for a swim ( to get out pommie friends out of the sun as they were resembling lobsters !) cocktails at the bar followed by happy hour on our balcony watching the beautiful sunset again ( never get tired of that!) dinner was at a locals steak and shrimp truck- set up in middle of town with heaps of tables- was delicious! We all walked off our food by walking to Victoria secret and Tiffanys!Okumaya devam et

    Shopping day in Hawaii

    After breakfast most of us got the bus out to the outlets for a bit of retail therapy! Everyone found quite a few bargains so we got the bus back to hotel- happy hour and drinks on balcony watching the beautiful sunset, followed by dinner at tiki bar. Spike made friends with a few interesting Americans! The pommies arrived and joined us for dinner.
    After dinner the women headed to Victoria secret to get some bras and knickers- ( Alison is putting her name down for a job at Hooters now!) we left the store when it closed at 11pm and walked back to hotel a bit worn out after a big shopping day.    Okumaya devam et

    Aloha Waikiki

    Checked out of turtle bay north shore and headed down the coast with the roof off! Stopped at all the scenic spots on the way including Hanauma bay- crystal clear water today! Checked in to Aston Waikiki and walked across to the beach for a swim- great weather - a lot warmer than the north shore.
    Walked around the city and had happy hour at Tiki bar watching the beautiful sunset on Waikiki beach( never get tired of that view!) dinner at cheeseburger in paradise then off to bed for an early night before the gang all arrive tomorrow for the big 10 day party! Aloha!    Okumaya devam et

    Sunset beach- waimea bay

    Had trouble getting Chris out of bed- apparently he can’t handle his cocktails the next morning- lol! Dragged him out and headed to Waimea bay for a day on the beach- the waves were huge when we arrived- Beach was closed but it didn’t stop people from swimming- was very entertaining watching swimmers getting dumped onto the shore and rolled around in the sand! A freak wave woke Chris up from his hangover nap time with the wave covering his whole towel! The waves settled after a while and Chris ventured in for a quick swim- I opted for the safer ankle deep swim! Had lunch at a little deli in the old town Haleiwa and drove back to hotel via sunset beach, turtle beach and pipeline.Okumaya devam et

    Cruising around north shore in mustang

    After a nice sleep in we headed off in our red mustang to cruise around the north shore. Found some beautiful beaches and stopped off to see the turtles coming onto the shore for a rest. Had lunch at a cute little bar on the beach with a cocktail called BFRD- stands for big f... ing rum drink! Tasted great! Drove past waterfalls and Jurassic Park scenery- very picturesque. Called in to another nice bar on our way back for a cocktail before returning to our resort. Watched the sunset by the pool bar- Chris will be looking forward to the men getting here in a couple of days- I have got him drinking cocktails with me! Had quite a few maitais and stumbled to bed- forgot to have dinner! Lovely day on the north shore.Okumaya devam et

    Farewell Vegas- Aloha Hawaii

    Up early to pack and leave for Hawaii- 9.30am flight , caught up on a bit of sleep- will be nice to relax for a few days! Picked up a red mustang convertible at Honolulu ( and managed to fit all our luggage in it!) drove up to the north shore stopping at the local bar for a cocktail and coconut shrimp! Arrived at Turtle bay resort and checked in to a lovely ocean front room- scored an upgrade to a larger room with better view! Nice hotel - looking forward to exploring and swimming tomorrow. Watched the sunset go down and had a tasty meal before calling it a night- First one before midnight!
    The north shore has a very relaxed laid back feeling- just what we need!    Okumaya devam et

    Vegas Supercross

    Struggled to get out of bed this morning after our big night in Vegas- dragged ourselves out and a quick shower before heading by bus to the super cross. Ktm has a vip air conditioned marquee in the pits which was nice and cool in the 35 degree heat! The free alcohol wasn’t too popular with most after having a few too many last night- Chris actually had an alcohol free day- hard to believe! We got to sit with chad reed in his motor home and have a nice catch up with him and Ellie. Walked around the pits and had a nice lunch before sitting in the grandstand to watch the races. Chad was leading in his heat but got passed by Tomac to get 2nd place! Good atmosphere in the stadium- there were 150 of us in bright orange Ktm shirts! Tomac went on to win the final- Anderson won the championship overall to be crowned world champion! Saw Chad on the way out to say goodbye, bus back to the hotel, with all the traffic we got back at midnight, opted to go straight to bed for an early start tomorrow! After 15 hours of sleep in 3 days we will be looking forward to a rest in Hawaii!Okumaya devam et

    What happens in vegas stays in vegas

    Bit of a slow morning- blaming it on the jet lag not the alcohol and late nights! The men went off to the Ktm conference so the women hit the shops! Spent a few hours shopping and then walked up the strip to check out the sights- always entertaining - the sights you see - only in Vegas! Ktm hired out a nightclub and Ryan Dungee and Toby Price joined us for the night- sat next to his wife- she is lovely and told us so many interesting stories about Ryan.
    We all danced and drank till they ran out of alcohol at about 2am- the sensible thing would have been to go to bed but Chris and his “just one more”” led us to the casino for a few more! Made friends with a few people from Cuba that I’m pretty sure Chris invited to come to Australia and stay with us! Late night nachos at 4am and then headed to bed finally! Thinking we may regret the late night tomorrow morning - but had a lot of fun in Vegas!    Okumaya devam et

    Californian winery then onto Vegas

    Early breakfast with a nice view of the sunrise over LA, then onto the bus to the Ktm headquarters with 150 people. Greeted with a glass of champagne upon arrival at 9.30am- never too early for bubbles right?! Half way around headquarters tour they gave us shots of bourbon- what do they think of us aussies?! Lunch was at Doffo winery- the owner has a huge collection of motorbikes that are all displayed around the vineyard- so cool! The owner kindly gave me a souvenir wine glass just because I asked nicely! Ok so it’s time to leave and one of the busses gets bogged trying to get out of the car park! An hour later with 75 people giving instructions and rhe assistance of a forklift and a pick up truck the bus was good to go! Lucky we had wine to drink whilst watching the entertainment! Headed up the highway to Vegas with a bus load of alcohol for the 6 hr journey , stopping for a quick break at Barstow. Arrived at hotel SLS which is relatively new and quite funky at 7pm- a quick change and downstairs for a pool party! Toby Price joined us for dinner - got to talk with him, very nice guy! Free drinks care of KTM included cocktails so we all made the most of that- until Leana danced with a wet floor sign on her head and Jeff ( general manager ) fell asleep standing up! Just one more drink in the casino before heading to bed at 1am! Viva Las Vegas!Okumaya devam et

    California- Newport- Santa Monica

    Hired a car and headed down the coast- First stop Newport Beach, lovely town - beautiful homes. Got on a small 3 car ferry to cross to Balbao a quiet , pretty , wealthy area. Continued along the coast to Laguna beach where we stopped for a nice lunch. Drove up to Huntington Beach and walked along the pier and called in to Dukes bar on the boardwalk. After driving through long beach we headed to Santa Monica - the end of Route 66. Walked along another pier and had a cocktail at Bubba Gumps . Dinner on the marina back near hotel- perfect day in California!Okumaya devam et

    Honolulu to LA

    After a nice sleep on the plane we landed in Honolulu at lunch time - got through customs rather quickly but had the usual long wait through security to get back on the plane! Since it was midday in this country we had an obligatory drink at the airport waiting to board our next flight! Back on the plane they kindly gave us the front row seats again- I could get used to this! The airline stewardess was lovely- she just kept the maitais coming till we both fell asleep! Dinner was nice- appreciated the metal cutlery and a meal that didn’t taste like cardboard! Landed in LA just before midnight to get a cab to our hotel at Marina Del Rey- Chris accepted a lift off an African American man in a big black coat instead of lining up for a cab! Wasn’t sure if was safe but we were relieved when he took us to our hotel and didn’t rob us!Okumaya devam et

    Sydney to LA via hawaii- front seats

    Checked in at Sydney airport at 6.30pm- scored the front row seats on the plane! Had dinner and drinks in the business class lounge- this is living! Once seated in row 1 we were given a lovely mai tai before takeoff! Watched a movie and had a few more Cocktails before fluffing up our pink blankets on our flatbeds and getting some sleep! Very comfortable fligjt indeed! Next stop Honolulu to change planes for LAOkumaya devam et
